Russian "President" Vladimir Putin has claimed there is a potential plot to sabotage the TurkStream and Blue Stream gas pipelines in the Black Sea.
As reported by Hvylya, citing Russian media coverage of the president's address to the Federal Security Service (FSB) board, the allegations were made regarding threats to energy infrastructure.
Putin stated that Russian intelligence services are currently receiving relevant "operational information."
"We are receiving operational information now. It should be in the media today, perhaps it already is—I haven't had time to look—but it concerns a possible explosion of our gas systems on the Black Sea bed," he said.
Blue Stream is designed to deliver Russian natural gas to Turkey across the Black Sea, bypassing third-party countries. TurkStream is an export pipeline from Russia to Turkey, also running along the Black Sea bed.
As a reminder, President Zelensky has expressed readiness for direct talks with Putin and indicated openness to potential compromises.
