Russian occupation forces are actively seeking ways to activate Starlink terminals by attempting to recruit citizens for cash rewards. However, these attempts are futile, and those involved face severe criminal prosecution.
This was reported by Serhii "Flash" Beskrestnov, an adviser to Ukraine's Ministry of Defense.
According to Beskrestnov, the adversary is exploring various "schemes," such as sending paid proxies to administrative service centers (CNAPs), using shell companies, or attempting to re-register equipment taken from captured drones. However, Ukraine has already anticipated these risks and prepared countermeasures.
"We will block all these Starlinks—we know how—but those looking to make 'easy money' from the enemy face significant prison time," Beskrestnov emphasized.
"Flash" warned that such actions leave a clear paper trail, as visiting a government institution effectively documents the crime against the state.
"This isn't like setting a car on fire and running away; this involves walking into a CNAP and essentially recording your crime for the court. So, my advice to traitors is: don't even try," he concluded.
As previously reported, the Ministry of Defense introduced strict restrictions and comprehensive verification for Starlink terminals, after which Russian forces lost connectivity on the front lines.
