Marco Rubio today is telling the same fairy tales that Blinken told in April 2022. Everyone knows that supposedly Boris Johnson came to Ukraine after Istanbul and forced Ukraine to continue the war. In reality, it was Blinken - Biden's Secretary of State - who did this. He came to Kyiv on April 25 and told Ukraine to continue the war and that the US would provide security guarantees. Develop a bilateral agreement, he said. When the Ukrainian side developed such an agreement and it was dozens of pages long, taking into account the failures of the Budapest Memorandum, the Americans were surprised. We thought it would be compact, they said, and asked for time to analyze it. The analysis lasted a year - until the NATO summit in Vilnius, where on July 11-12 the security guarantees were finally buried.
Now Rubio is offering us to sign a new Munich without looking, in exchange for hypothetical security guarantees that will be as solid as the bullshit of the Budapest Memorandum and Blinken's promises. The Witcoff tapes clearly show what everyone already knows anyway. The Trump administration is kissing Putin's ass and selling out Ukraine based on their pragmatic interests. So you can be sure they will betray Ukraine. And hopes that "Trump will wake up and give mountains of weapons" are ridiculous and empty.
Unfortunately, our elite is largely stupid, blind, and greedy enough to avoid the most dangerous scenarios and has led Ukraine straight to slaughter. To the hooting and bullshit about the people's heroism from Europeans and Americans.
There are no happy endings to such stories. As long as we remain brainless, as long as the authorities allow the persecution of three-year-old girls for speaking Russian, as long as tens of billions of dollars are exported abroad with impunity by thieves, everyone and their dog will fuck us over.
As long as we are divided and see each other as Moskal-loving enemies, our prospects will tend toward zero. Invincibility depends on ourselves, victory on our enemies.
Look around and you'll see too many faces twisted with malice. Malice has poisoned our great and unfortunate people so much that they shamelessly impose any nonsense on us. And still demand gratitude for "help" in the form of banal racketeering.
That's the essence of what's happening. We need to sober up. And finally look around soberly. We have no friends. And everything in our lives that can be ours depends only on what we do.
A new Munich will happen sooner or later. There's no need to cry. We need to grit our teeth and move forward. We'll need to save what remains. The state must start thinking about people. And then people will start thinking about the state. Because we are alone and there is no one in this Universe except ourselves who would care about us. This is a too obvious, banal lesson of this insane war for Ukraine that must be learned.
