On February 5, Russian occupation forces faced a massive shutdown of Starlink satellite communication terminals. Enemy units are reporting an inability to restore connections, a development that threatens a total collapse of their military command and control.
According to Hvylya, this was reported by Minister Mykhailo Fedorov and military technology consultant Serhii "Flash" Beskrestnov.
The first phase of Ukraine's official "white list" for Starlink terminals is now active. This has led to the immediate blocking of equipment used illegally by the occupiers, sparking chaos within their ranks.
According to "Flash," the impact on the enemy has been devastating.
"The enemy isn't just facing a problem on the front lines; it's a catastrophe. Their entire command system has collapsed, and assault operations have been halted in many sectors," the expert stated.
Mykhailo Fedorov confirmed the system's effectiveness, noting that while Russian terminals are blocked, verified Ukrainian devices remain functional. However, given the scale of the operation, lists are currently updated once every 24 hours. Users who have submitted applications but have not yet seen their connection restored are advised to wait.
Verification Instructions:
-
For Civilians: Procedures are handled through Administrative Service Centers (CNAPs).
-
For Legal Entities: Service will soon be available on the Diia portal.
-
For the Military: Commanders have already submitted lists, and processing is underway.
The Ministry of Digital Transformation is working to ensure that data verification will occur in real-time in the future.
"Our team, along with our partners, is promptly addressing all cases. We thank the soldiers and commanders who quickly verified their terminals. Continuous and stable communication is critically important for the front," Fedorov emphasized.
Background:
These decisive measures follow alarming reports from the front. On January 25, Serhii "Flash" reported the likely use of Starlink on Russian Shahed strike drones. Elon Musk responded to the Ukrainian government's request for assistance.
SpaceX implemented technical countermeasures, and by February 1, the billionaire confirmed that steps to curb unauthorized access had yielded results. The final stage was a government resolution establishing the "white list": now, only registered terminals can operate legally in Ukraine, while all "grey" connections are being disconnected.
