The first day of trilateral talks between Ukraine, the US, and Russia has concluded in Abu Dhabi. The dialogue, aimed at resolving the war, is set to continue on Thursday, February 5.
As Hvylya reports, this was confirmed by Diana Davityan, spokesperson for the NSDC Secretary, in a comment to journalists, writes European Pravda.
"Negotiations are over for today," she said.
The spokesperson emphasized that the talks are currently scheduled to resume on Thursday, February 5.
For his part, NSDC Secretary Rustem Umerov described the work as substantive and productive. Following a general meeting, the process shifted to a working group format.
"Working alongside me in the Ukrainian delegation were Kyrylo Budanov, David Arakhamia, Sergiy Kyslytsya, Andrii Hnatov, Vadym Skibitsky, and Oleksandr Bevz," Umerov noted.
Participating in the consultations on the American side were US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner, and military advisors. According to Umerov, the Russian delegation was represented "at a high military level."
Separately, the Ukrainian team held a bilateral meeting with the Americans to discuss a document on security guarantees and the so-called "Prosperity Plan."
The delegation is currently preparing a report for President Volodymyr Zelensky. It should be noted that the negotiations are proceeding in a tense atmosphere: due to a recent massive strike by the Russian Federation, Zelensky announced the need to "adjust" the negotiators' work.
