Head of the Presidential Office Kyrylo Budanov and National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) Secretary Rustem Umerov have announced the completion of another round of negotiations in Geneva. The meeting took place in a trilateral Ukraine-USA-Russia format and focused on security issues.

According to Hvylya, the officials announced the developments in official statements following the meeting.

The Head of the Presidential Office described the dialogue as difficult but necessary for moving forward.

"Another round of negotiations in Geneva has concluded. The conversation was not simple, but important. Together with the team, we are preparing to continue—in the very near future. We will stand firm!" Budanov emphasized.

Rustem Umerov, in turn, provided more details on the process. He noted that the work of the delegations, comprising representatives from both political and military blocs, was "intensive and substantive."

"Another round of trilateral negotiations in the Ukraine-USA-Russia format took place today. We thank our American partners for ensuring the process does not stop and continues. We also thank the Swiss side for their hospitality and the platform provided," the NSDC Secretary stated.

Security parameters and implementation mechanisms for potential decisions were the key topics of discussion. Umerov emphasized that while some issues were clarified, additional coordination is ongoing on other points.

"We are focused on working out the key provisions necessary to finalize the process. This is complex work that requires the agreement of all parties and time. There is progress, but no details as of yet," he explained.

The main goal of the current stage is to reach a level of consensus that will allow the proposed decisions to be presented to the presidents. According to Umerov, the delegation's task is to prepare a real, rather than formal, basis for this.

"Ukraine is working constructively. The ultimate goal remains unchanged—a just and lasting peace," the NSDC Secretary concluded.
