Russia launched a massive combined aerial assault on Ukraine, deploying hundreds of drones and dozens of ballistic and cruise missiles, including Iskanders and projectiles fired from Tu-95MS strategic bombers. The strikes targeted energy infrastructure and residential buildings across multiple regions.
Monitoring channels report that approximately 14 energy facilities were hit, including transformer substations and thermal power plants. The primary targets included Kyiv, Dnipro, Chornomorsk, as well as the Kyiv, Chernihiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kharkiv regions.

Kyiv The heating situation in the capital has deteriorated sharply, leaving 5,635 buildings without heat—up from just 16 the previous evening. Damage was recorded on the Left Bank: a high-rise and roughly 20 vehicles were damaged in the Dniprovskyi district, a private home was hit in the Darnytskyi district, and drone debris fell onto a cemetery in the Desnianskyi district.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko provided an update on a 59-year-old woman injured in the attack, confirming she is currently hospitalized.
Kyiv Region Tragic consequences were reported in the wider region, where a 50-year-old man was killed in the Bucha district. A high-rise building and a private residence were also damaged.
Poltava Region Overnight, Russian forces struck an industrial facility, sparking massive fires at several locations. Emergency crews required significant resources to contain the blaze.
"State Emergency Service (SES) equipment and two Ukrzaliznytsia fire trains were deployed for the operation," rescuers reported after extinguishing the fires.
Dnipro Two women, aged 76 and 67, were wounded in the attack. Rescuers evacuated one of the victims from a damaged building. The strikes destroyed an industrial enterprise and damaged both infrastructure and housing stock.
Odesa Region In Chornomorsk, a Shahed drone struck a high-rise building, while an energy facility also sustained damage.
The region faced a powerful drone assault that damaged energy, gas, and civil infrastructure. The epicenter of the destruction was a 25-story residential building, where two apartments on the top floor were mangled. Windows in nearby buildings were blown out, and parked cars were damaged.
"Preliminary information indicates one person was injured," the SES stated. Fires at the impact sites were promptly extinguished.
Zaporizhzhia Region Three people were reported wounded. Fires broke out in residential homes covering 250 and 150 square meters, as well as in a city apartment, outbuildings, and a truck.
Vinnytsia Region The region also came under fire. Regional authorities confirmed a hit on a critical infrastructure facility but noted that, "Fortunately, there were no casualties."
Following the massive strikes, emergency power outages have been implemented in several regions of Ukraine.
