Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has confirmed preparations for a high-level summit with U.S. President-elect Donald Trump, emphasizing that several key issues could be resolved before the New Year.

Zelensky shared the update during his evening address, following a briefing from Defense Minister Rustem Umerov.

"We are not wasting a single day. We have agreed on a high-level meeting with President Trump in the near future. Much can be decided before the turn of the year," the President stated.

According to sources cited by the Kyiv Post, the visit could take place as early as December 28 at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida. Zelensky also disclosed details of a hour-long phone call with Trump’s envoys, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, during which they discussed formats, meetings, and the timelines necessary to end the bloodshed.

"We have new ideas. Some documents are already prepared. As I see it, they are almost ready, while others are fully finalized," the Ukrainian leader stressed.

At the center of Kyiv’s diplomatic push is a 20-point plan, an evolution of the original "Peace Formula." This comprehensive strategy includes NATO-style Article 5 security guarantees and Russian non-aggression commitments in exchange for a confirmation of Ukraine’s non-nuclear status. It also features a "Prosperity Plan" with a definitive timeline for EU accession.
