The President’s Office has announced the preparation of several draft documents following meetings between the Ukrainian delegation and the U.S. side. President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Defense Minister Rustem Umerov and Andriy Hnatov provided reports following negotiations with representatives of President Donald Trump’s team.
The head of state noted that drafts have been developed regarding security guarantees for Ukraine, post-war reconstruction, and a "basic framework" for ending the war. Zelensky emphasized that the points are formulated to achieve a real end to hostilities while ensuring a "third Russian invasion" remains impossible.
"Several draft documents have been prepared. Specifically, there are documents on security guarantees for Ukraine, on reconstruction, and on the basic framework for ending this war," Zelensky stated.
He added that each round of negotiations, in his view, strengthens the protection of Ukrainian interests, and Kyiv plans to continue working in this format. The President also thanked European partners for their support and coordination, noting that Ukraine looks forward to continuing the dialogue with the U.S.
Zelensky further stressed that diplomatic efforts must be accompanied by pressure on Russia and consistent support for Ukraine.
According to the President, the intensity of Russian strikes and frontline assaults demonstrates that Kyiv's resolve to end the war "significantly exceeds Russia's." He concluded that this imbalance must be addressed by increasing international pressure on the aggressor.
