Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces reported a successful strike on the Bashneft-Novoil oil refinery in Ufa, Republic of Bashkortostan, on April 3, 2026.
The operation was carried out by operators from the 1st Separate Center of the Unmanned Systems Forces. The facility, part of the Ufa group of refineries, has a primary oil refining capacity of 7.1 to 7.3 million tons annually. It produces aviation fuel, diesel, and Euro-5 and Euro-6 grade gasoline used to supply the Russian military, aviation, and logistics networks.
The deep strike sparked a fire at the facility, with the full extent of the damage still being assessed. Military officials noted that the refinery is located between 1,300 and 1,400 kilometers from the Ukrainian border. The Unmanned Systems Forces emphasized that this distance is not a limit, highlighting their ongoing campaign to degrade the enemy's ability to supply oil products for the war against Ukraine.
In a broader update, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine detailed further strikes on Russian military infrastructure. Overnight on April 3, Ukrainian forces targeted logistics warehouses in the villages of Staromlynivka in the temporarily occupied Donetsk region, Valianivske in the Luhansk region, as well as Chervone Pole and Zoryane in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Ammunition depots were also hit near Rovenky and Shakhtarsk, along with a fuel and lubricants depot near Kondriuche in the Luhansk region. Additionally, Ukrainian forces struck a Russian troop concentration area near Rozivka and a fuel base near Molochansk in the Zaporizhzhia region.
The General Staff also confirmed earlier strikes conducted on April 1 and 2, which targeted the Kulykovskyi training ground in Novopetrivka and an ammunition depot in Uspenivka, both in the Zaporizhzhia region. Troop concentration areas were similarly hit in Kotlyne and Shandryholove in the Donetsk region, as well as Berezove in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Enemy casualties from these strikes are currently being clarified.
The General Staff stated that the Defense Forces will continue to systematically weaken the offensive capabilities and combat potential of the occupying forces until the complete cessation of Russian armed aggression. The military concluded its statements with a promise of further action, declaring, "To be continued! Glory to Ukraine!"
