Ukrainian Defense Forces launched a missile strike on the Bryansk microelectronics plant "Kremniy El". The military used Storm Shadow air-launched cruise missiles for the attack.
As reported by "Hvylya," the Ukrainian military announced the operation.
The statement highlighted that the strike is part of a systematic effort to degrade the Russian aggressor's military and economic potential. The military confirmed a precise hit, causing significant damage to the facility's production capabilities.
"'Kremniy El' is a critical link in the production chain of Russian 'high-precision' weaponry," the defenders noted.
The facility specializes in manufacturing discrete semiconductors and integrated microcircuits. These components essentially serve as the "brains" and "nervous system" for modern Russian weaponry, specifically Iskander ballistic missiles.
Authorities are currently assessing the full extent of the damage. A unit of the separate "Raid" Unmanned Systems Regiment conducted aerial reconnaissance for the operation.
