The United States has tested a series of Ukrainian drones as part of preparations for a large-scale agreement known as the "Drone Deal." American partners have already familiarized themselves with advanced domestic developments to evaluate their potential for the U.S. military.

As reported by Hvylya, Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Heorhii Tykhyi confirmed during a briefing that negotiations are moving forward actively, according to Hromadske.

"I cannot publicly comment on the specific parameters of the agreement for obvious reasons, but I can confirm that the dialogue regarding the Drone Deal is very active and constructive," the MFA spokesperson stated.

The agreement envisions the potential procurement of Ukrainian unmanned systems by Washington over the next five years. The initiative was first announced by President Volodymyr Zelensky last autumn. Beyond direct supply contracts, both parties are exploring options for the joint production of models that have been proven on the battlefield.

Substantive technical discussions on this track took place in the United States in October. A Ukrainian delegation presented specific platforms to American military officials that have demonstrated their effectiveness in real combat conditions. The Ministry of Defense team held meetings with representatives of all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces to analyze the American military's requirements for Ukrainian technology.

Currently, the total production potential of the Ukrainian defense-industrial complex is estimated at over $55 billion. In February, domestic enterprises received the first permits for controlled arms exports in segments where plant capacities significantly exceed the volume of internal state procurement. The greatest prospects for the global market are emerging specifically in the fields of unmanned aerial vehicles, electronic warfare, and reconnaissance systems.
