US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff is planning another visit to Moscow to meet with Russian leader Vladimir Putin. The talks are scheduled to take place this Thursday, January 22.

As reported by Hvylya, citing the diplomat's interviews with Reuters, CNBC, and Bloomberg TV, details of the meeting have been confirmed.

"Well, look, we are supposed to meet with him [Putin] on Thursday," Witkoff said.

Jared Kushner will accompany Witkoff on the trip. According to the US representative, the initiative for the negotiations came directly from the Kremlin.

"Russia asked for a meeting with the US. Everybody wants to get a peace deal," Witkoff stated.

The diplomat expressed confidence that the Russian leader genuinely seeks a peace agreement with Ukraine. Witkoff maintains this view even though Putin has shown no signs of compromising on his ultimatums, particularly regarding full control over the Donbas.

The special envoy also indicated that the conflict resolution document is in its final stages. He estimates that a "20-point peace plan is more than 90% ready."
