An Iranian-made kamikaze drone has attacked a British military facility on the island of Cyprus, striking a hangar utilized by American U-2 reconnaissance planes.

The impact resulted in a breach approximately 9 meters wide in the structure's wall. Preliminary reports indicate that there were no casualties and the aircraft stationed inside the hangar remained undamaged despite the explosion.

The unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), identified as a Shahed-type drone, is believed to have been launched from Lebanon rather than directly from Iranian territory. The aircraft reportedly traveled 240 kilometers at a low altitude over the sea, successfully evading detection until it was nearly upon its target.
