Republican Senator Lindsey Graham has called on the US administration to provide Ukraine with Tomahawk cruise missiles to strike Russian military targets. According to DW, as reported by Hvylya, the politician made this statement on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference.
According to Graham, the missiles, which have a range of up to 2,500 km, will allow for effective strikes against enemy targets and intensify pressure on the Kremlin. "We must encourage Moscow toward meaningful peace negotiations," the senator emphasized.
Graham also recalled that in January, President Donald Trump gave the "green light" to a bipartisan bill introducing tariffs of up to 500% on countries that continue to purchase Russian oil, gas, and uranium. China, India, and Brazil could be impacted by these measures.
Discussions regarding the provision of Tomahawk missiles to Kyiv have been ongoing in Washington since the fall of 2025. In late October, according to CNN, the Pentagon approved such deliveries; however, the final decision rests with Trump. The White House chief is considering this weaponry as a significant lever of influence over the Russian Federation.
