Ukraine's Foreign Ministry has strongly rebuked Iran's attempts to portray Kyiv as an accomplice in military strikes on Iranian territory, advising Tehran to recall the tens of thousands of drones it supplied to the Russian army.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Heorhii Tykhyi issued the statement, Hvylya reports.

The spokesperson dismissed the Iranian diplomat's UN complaint as complete fiction. Tykhyi noted that identifying falsehoods from Iranian regime representatives is simple: "If their lips are moving, they are lying."

He emphasized that since the start of the full-scale invasion, Ukraine has endured attacks from nearly 60,000 Iranian drones, whereas not a single Ukrainian drone has ever struck Iranian territory. Tykhyi added that both the Iranian diplomat and the regime he represents at the UN should have ceased to exist long ago.

Earlier, Iran's Permanent Representative to the UN, Amir Saeid Iravani, wrote a letter to the organization's Secretary-General complaining that Ukrainian anti-drone specialists were allegedly operating in the Middle East. The Iranian side labeled this as "material and operational support for military aggression" by the United States and Israel.
