US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff has announced that trilateral peace discussions between Ukraine, Russia, and the United States remain ongoing, with "additional progress anticipated in the weeks ahead."

The statement follows a major diplomatic breakthrough in Geneva, where negotiations directed by US President Donald J. Trump facilitated a prisoner exchange returning 1,000 individuals to Kyiv and Moscow. Witkoff emphasized that these sustained discussions are part of a broader effort to formulate a comprehensive peace deal aimed at ending the war "once and for all."

"Under the President's leadership, we continue to achieve meaningful outcomes," Witkoff stated, highlighting the strategic focus of the current US administration's diplomatic push.

The envoy also expressed gratitude to the Swiss government for hosting the critical talks, reaffirming a commitment to advancing diplomacy toward a final resolution in the conflict.
