Ukrainian Defense Forces units inflicted fire damage on the capacities of the Slavneft-YANOS oil refinery located in the Yaroslavl region of the Russian Federation.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on December 12.

According to military information, this facility is one of the largest oil refineries in the aggressor country. The enterprise is capable of processing from 15 million tons of oil and petroleum condensate per year and is involved in supplying fuel to Russian occupation forces.

Explosions and a powerful fire were recorded in the target area. The extent of the damage is currently being clarified.

In addition, Ukrainian defenders struck a number of targets in the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk region. In particular, strikes were carried out on an ammunition depot in the area of Avdeevskoe village (formerly Pervomayskoye), as well as on concentrations of enemy manpower near Mirnograd and Rodinskoye.

The General Staff emphasized that the Defense Forces continue to methodically destroy the enemy's offensive potential.
