SBU Sea Baby naval drones struck two sanctioned Russian "shadow fleet" oil tankers in the Black Sea — the KAIRO and the VIRAT. Both vessels sustained critical damage and have effectively been put out of operation.

Media reported the strike, citing sources within the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).

The attack was carried out using modernized Sea Baby drones in a joint operation between the SBU's 13th Main Directorate of Military Counterintelligence and the Ukrainian Navy.

Both tankers were empty at the time of the strike and were en route to the port of Novorossiysk to load cargo. Sources estimate that taking these vessels out of commission will deal a significant blow to the transportation of Russian oil.
