Ukrainian Flamingo cruise missiles have successfully struck the Votkinsk Plant in Russia, a facility responsible for producing Iskander, Topol-M, and Oreshnik ballistic missiles. The strategic enterprise is located approximately 1,300 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.
As Hvylya reports, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and analysts from the CyberBoroshno project confirmed the attack.
Experts conducted a detailed analysis of footage from the scene, geolocating the explosion and confirming damage to the defense plant's production workshops. According to their data, Flamingo cruise missiles were specifically employed to penetrate Russian air defenses.
Local residents have shared numerous videos showing a massive fire on the factory grounds. A powerful shockwave shattered windows in nearby residential buildings, indicating the significant force of the explosion.
According to the Astra news outlet, workshops No. 22 and No. 36 were hit. Russian officials were forced to acknowledge the strike, with the Head of the Udmurt Republic confirming damage and casualties at one of the facilities.
The Votkinsk Plant is a critical facility in Russia's military-industrial complex, specializing in solid-fuel ballistic missiles. It mass-produces RS-24 Yars intercontinental ballistic missiles and RSM-56 Bulava missiles, while also servicing the Topol family.
In addition to strategic weaponry, the plant continuously supplies the Russian army with 9M723 operational-tactical missiles for Iskander-M systems and the new Oreshnik ballistic missiles. Due to its activities, the enterprise is under strict sanctions from the United States, the EU, the UK, Japan, and other nations.
